Driftwood Wholefood Café in Scotts Head channels a laid-back yet conscientious vibe that fits right into this coastal town’s rhythm. More than just a stop for a caffeine fix, it’s a place where locals often settle in with a flat white or iced latte, maybe alongside a wholesome smashed avo or a bowl loaded with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The café’s positioning on Adin Street invites plenty of natural light and casual people-watching, making it a quiet morning or early afternoon spot to recharge or catch up with friends.

The menu leans into wholefood and sustainable choices, so it’s well-suited for those looking for clean, health-focused options rather than conventional café fare. Expect bright smoothies like the Vitamin Sea or Golden Glow if you’re after something refreshing, and the cold-pressed juices add a vibrant, fresh feel to the drink lineup. While the food tends to be on the healthier side, dishes like the nasi campur and garden bowls showcase a mix of cultures and add variety for the palate. Visitors who appreciate mindful eating and relaxed service will find the pace here suits unhurried Saturday mornings or a calm midweek retreat from the busier stretches of town.

Staff interaction at Driftwood leans towards warm and approachable without fuss, which complements Scotts Head’s friendly community spirit. Local live music events occasionally add a gentle soundtrack to an already easy atmosphere, making evenings here quietly memorable without the rush of a typical busy restaurant. One detail that visitors should note: the café’s focus on sustainability means no takeaway cups, so it’s very much a place to linger rather than grab and go.

Driftwood tends to attract health-conscious locals, beach walkers cooling down with a smoothie, and travelers who want a slice of the town’s lifestyle—a spot where coffee quality meets genuine wholefood ethos. Whether it’s a weekend brunch or a casual afternoon pit stop, it offers a thoughtful, understated alternative to the typical café crowd, best enjoyed when you have time to sink into the gentle pace of Scotts Head life.

Absolutely delicious! We arrived in Scott’s Head late and hungry! Thankfully we walked into Driftwood and were greeted immediately by a lovely waiter. We ordered the bouillabaisse and the lamb, both were exceptional. Had we stayed longer every meal would have been here, the food coming out of the kitchen is fresh, inspiring and downright yummy! For those complaining about slow service, this was not our experience, however, this is a small town with minimal options, if you choose the best then a little wait is nothing! Relax, enjoy the atmosphere, the food and staff are worth it!

What a great find! Food was delicious we had the banquet and were not disappointed by the amazing flavours and great variety! The staff were super easy to deal with when making a booking, and were warm and welcoming throughout the night! They also had a local live music night which was great as well! This is a must visit place if your in Scotts head! Thank you!!

be prepared, the food is very good but it’s also very like healthy and sustainable, which is actually great but not for fussy eaters (my brother). the berry French toast was amazing and the prices are reasonable. also I went there for a coffee and I usually get oat milk and vanilla syrup, but they don’t have oat milk or takeaway cups which was a bit confusing being from the country. The takeaway cups thing wasn’t an issue, they gave me a jar to take away then I just brought it back. Honestly good on them for being sustainable. But I really wanted my oat milk though. And vanilla.

Stopped here for breakfast on a road trip. Great little cafe with friendly staff and nice food. Well worth a visit. Try the Reuben sandwich or the ham and cheese toasty.

This seems to be one of the popular eating places at Scotts Head. We only had coffee there & have to say it was pretty good, we ordered double shots. The service was friendly & we sat outside with dog under the verandah. There's also seating inside

What a delightful café have we just discovered. You must come here, if you are in the area. No photos today, but this is our food stop every time on our journey. And we are never disappointed. Just HOW great is this, not using takeaway coffee cups. Till next time! And yes, in case you are wondering, The coffee is excellent.
